Fundraising

We rely heavily on fundraising, donations and sponsorship to provide these wonderful services for our children and families. Aiming Higher has gained the trust of more than a thousand disabled children and their families since being founded in 2011. The staff team apply for grants and funding on a regular basis but welcome the support of our local Fylde Coast community in fundraising. Please contact the team if you’d like to donate or fundraise for us.

Fundraising Ideas

If you’d like to raise money for Aiming Higher then we’d be delighted to hear from you. Over the years our fantastic supporters have undertaken a wide and varied range of fundraising activities that raise vital funds for the children and families we support. We’re also happy to supply collection tins to small businesses who wish to fundraise for us on their countertops.

There’s an endless number of ways to raise money for Aiming Higher, but if you’re looking for inspiration, may we suggest:

Sponsored: walks, runs, cycles, weight loss, silences.

Daytime activities: Coffee Morning, Cake/Bake Sale, Dress Down Day, Raffle, Tombola, Baked bean bath, Charity Car Wash, Charity Lunch, Supermarket Bag Packing, Car Boot Sale.

Quitting something: smoking, chocolate, alcohol or technology for 24 hours!

High energy Challenges: Skydiving, Parachute jumps, 3000-mile treks or distance challenge.

Evening activities: Quiz Night, Disco, Bingo, Karaoke Night

A-thons: Swimathon; Spellathon, Danceathon, Stepathon, Readathon.

Whatever your idea, we’d be delighted to talk to you about it, call any of our team on 01253 206447 or email info@aiminghighercharity.org.uk.

Annual Fundraising Ball

Our annual fundraising ball is one of the highlights of the year. In previous years more than 300 supporters, sponsors and suppliers have attended and, in the process, helped raise tens of thousands of pounds.

In addition to a 3-course dinner, live entertainment and dancing, a range of fantastic fundraising activities are incorporated into the evening. This is also our opportunity to show our appreciation and gratitude to those individuals and organisations that have assisted us throughout the year and present our Young Hero Award.
