Family Events & Activities

Without a doubt, nurturing and bringing up a child with disabilities or special educational needs brings immense pleasure to parents and families, but there are often big challenges when it comes to planning days out, activities and trips for the whole family to enjoy together.

The money we raise through events and fundraising goes towards supporting our Family Events.  These are very popular, often providing once in a lifetime experiences for children and their families, making new memories to cherish. The cost of all of our events and trips are subsidised making these unique experiences affordable for families.

It was really nice to be able to actually go to the cinema, without the worry or stress of how people will react to my child making noise. There is no way to keep her quiet…she makes lots of noise when excited. She may also need medical intervention, such as suction, which is noisy too. We usually avoid the cinema as the general public want quiet cinemas!  It was nice to know that the event was Aiming Higher families only.  There were children being able to do what they needed….making noise, moving around, stimming etc. and it was simply accepted, no judgements or comments and I really liked that.
