Counselling

Aiming Higher provide a counselling service which supports parents, carers and siblings of children with disabilities or medical conditions. We offer a specialist service to help with a variety of issues that are intensified by caring responsibilities.

We also have a beautiful suite of parent and counselling rooms at the Aiming Higher Centre giving parents, carers and siblings a safe space to explore their situation.

Family Support

As a parent, carer or sibling of a child with a disability or long-term health need, there may be times when you feel you need someone impartial to talk to. This can be especially important when dealing with issues such as:

  • New diagnosis
  • Caring commitments
  • Loss of previous lifestyle
  • Managing medical condition
  • Feeling of isolation
  • Not feeling heard or understood
  • Respite
  • Transitioning a loved one into residential care

We can offer you a safe, confidential space to explore how you feel about what is happening.
