Aiming Higher provide a counselling service which supports parents, carers and siblings of people with disabilities or medical conditions. It offers a specialist service to help with a variety of issues that are intensified by caring responsibilities.

The lovely blue room at the Aiming Higher Centre gives you a safe space to explore your situation.

As a parent, carer or child of a person with a disability or long term health need, there may be times when you feel you need someone impartial to talk to. This can be especially important when dealing with issues such as:-

  • New diagnosis
  • Caring commitments
  • Loss of previous lifestyle
  • Managing medical condition
  • Feeling of isolation
  • Not feeling heard or understood
  • Respite
  • Transitioning a loved one into residential care

It can offer you a safe, confidential space to explore how you feel about what is happening.
