Covid-19
Our Centre is temporarily closed.
Many of the families that we support have come under increased pressure due to the Covid-19 outbreak. The way we work has had to change, with no groups, trips, or our usual face-to-face support. However, the whole team continue to work supporting our families in different ways.
As well as providing food parcels and activity/resources packs the Family Support Team have been supporting families by using Zoom/FaceTime or by phone, helping complete forms, helping to make new benefit claims and manage with reduced finances due to loss of work. The team continue to provide emotional support and help families navigate through this difficult time. During the first 28 days of the initial lockdown, we made over 1,100 contacts with families.
Our counsellors have adapted their services and have been supporting clients with telephone appointments.
We do have a waiting list, but as always, we are accepting referrals, please find our referral form here.
Our social media is full of positive posts, offering ideas, support and feedback from families – with fantastic photos and videos of what we and our families are doing at this time.
